What's New

December 8, 1998
The final exam will consist primarily of short answer questions.

All student presentations that were emailed to me are now on the web in the Lecture Notes area, as are all of my lectures and Jason Robbins' lecture on design critics.   have, however, changed the names of the pdf files to indicate the topic of the lecture, rather than the lecture number (I think this will be more straightforward).

October 30, 1998
Please be sure to check the schedule and ensure that the topic and date for your presentation is okay.

Also, on the web site are lecture 7 (ADLs by David Rosenblum) and lecture 8 (FSLs by me).  In addition, the stacks example had some pages missing, so you might want to get a new copy from the web page; it is availabe in either postscript or pdf format.  The elevator example is there as well in postscript or pdf format.

FYI,  lectures 1, 2, 3, 4 are also available.  I'm still working on converting lectures 5 and 6 ... sorry about that.  If for some reason you need a copy, just send me email.

October 26, 1998
The schedule has been updated again.  It now shows dates for student presentations.  If the date indicated for you is a problem, please get back to me ASAP.

I won't be in class Tuesday, October 27.  My apologies ... but I was asked to present a talk on Testability (an important software quality, by the way) at the NASA-sponsored Workshop on Risk Management in lovely Farmington, PA.  David Rosenblum will be lecturing on Architecture Description Languages tomorrow.

October 1, 1998
The schedule has been updated.
September 28, 1998
The web site is currently under construction.  As you are all aware, this is a new course and materials will be developed as we go.

Course notes will be posted in PDF format, which you can download and/or view.
