I sucessfully defended and filed my dissertation "An Ethnographic Examination of the Relationship of Gender & End-User Programming." (.pdf) on April 24, 2008!
Paul Dourish was chair. Genevieve Bell and Alladi Venkatesh were also on my committee.
Beyond my PhD have 10years in the HCI field in insdustry and research including working on the original User Experience team for TiVo.
