It’s
tough to imagine Danger Doom’s core audience. Is it the
hip-hop junkies that went crazy for Madvillainy and The Grey Album?
Or is it the Adult Swim fans who think that Sealab is God’s
gift to television? Truth be told, it’s probably a little
of both. I’m not sure where the two groups intersect, but
regardless, DangerDoom blow the division wide open. Marked by guest
spots from Talib Kweli and Ghostface Killah, The Mouse and the Mask
is a consistent album filled with clever rhymes, smooth beats and
surprisingly funny sketches (courtesy of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force).
Don’t let Shake get to you, Doom.
