I was born and raised in China where I obtained a B. Comp. (Hons 1st Class) from Shanghai Science and Technology University in 1998 and a Master degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2001. I was conferred a PhD degree in Computer Science at National University of Singapore (NUS). My advisor at NUS was Prof. Ling Tok Wang. I am presently working with Prof. Chen Li, doing my postdoctoral research and training in the Department of Computer Science, University of California, Irvine. Research Interest
My research interests are in the fields of database and information systems, including information management on the Web, data integration and sharing in health and medical system, approximate string matching and XML query processing.
