Focus of the
Networking Lab
The lab houses collaborative work suitable
for computer networking and communication purposes. Research in other
areas are welcome, but the their space requests will be secondary to
the networking
and communication needs.
Computing Policy
Each student desk comes with a computer, which is leased to the student
using that desk. The terms of computer use is under
reasonable evolution as security concerns are moderated. Please note
the following to lease the computer.
Lab Space Usage Policy
We encourage, foster and facilitate
frequent interactions between the lab occupants and outside research
groups. Through these interactions, we hope to work on collaborative
projects and proposals between faculty of different disciplines.
- Members of the research groups in the networking lab
participate monthly discussion seminars, featuring the current
progresses of the research fronts in the lab.
- Research groups are responsible to post their up-to-date
research results in the lab, and on the lab website.
- Lab users are responsible to present their work when the
needs come to the Networking Lab.
Lab Space Application Process
The space allocation review
process is centrally controlled by the Calit2 administration office.
However, the lab managers are responsible to identify the interesting
proposals suitable for the focuses of the labs.
- Please read the Calit2 lab space application instructions (MS DOC, PDF).
- Please fill out the space application form (MS DOC).
- Send the completed application form through email to Gregory Gallardo, and cc Lichun Bao.
