How Community and Deviance on LambdaMOO and Lord Graham's Demesne can prepare us for the Future of Computer Mediated Communication in Cyberspace

This paper has a pretentious but self explanatory title. I wrote this in December, 1994, shortly after media interested in the Internet was piqued. I really failed to anticipate how dramatic changes in the near future were going to be, but in this paper I took a fairly weak stab at it. I put my social scientist hat on and try to make the point that when people use computer mediated communication they will still act the same no matter how sophisticated the technology.
