The Coming of Age of Software Architecture: A Historial View
I did this study for a Topics in Software Engineering course during the
1996 fall term. I interviewed six programmers, past and present, on how
they used high level design or architecture in their work. I got a lot
of historical information that was very interesting to me, and possibly
to other young whippersnappers, but probably not to people in the field
for any length of time. I have enough material to write another paper
with a more contemporary focus which probably would have been closer to
the original intent of the project.
