Remembering Roberta Lamb

Roberta Lamb, who died on November 29, was an associate professor in the Bren School and a tireless champion of diversity and excellence.

A Southern California native, Lamb received her Ph.D. from UC Irvine
in 1997 and had recently returned to her alma mater as a member of the Informatics faculty.

Lamb was an active researcher in the area of online technologies and socio-technical networks and recently completed a 4-year NSF-funded study of the development of organizational intranets, and the interorganizational relationships that shape intranet use.

She had also recently completed a Fulbright at the University of Turku in Finland. Her fellowship in Electronics, Information or Telecommunications Technology was sponsored by Nokia.

She will be missed greatly.
