Students to showcase tech ingenuity

UC Irvine students from the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and The Henry Samueli School of Engineering will present their technology projects at the Ingenuity 2013 UCI Technology Student Showcase.
The event, open to the public, is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center. Dave DeWalt, chief executive of Milpitas-based Fire-Eye Inc., is the keynote speaker. Chancellor Michael Drake will present awards honoring philanthropists Pete Balsells and Ted and Janice Smith.
