The Ethical Use of Computing!
The School of ICS and the University take ethics very seriously. You can view The Ethical Use of Computer Resources here or via the UNIX commandman ethics.
Where do I go to get help?
The ICS Computing Support Group supports research, administrative, and instructional computing within ICS. The ICS Lab Support Group supports the ICS instructional computing labs. For a faster response to specific problems/questions, see Who do I Contact to get a list of addresses.
Please send email to helpdesk@ics.uci.edu rather than contacting an individual Support Group member. This allows us to respond even when the person who would normally deal with an issue is unavailable.
The Network & Academic Computing Support (NACS) provides general computing support to the entire campus. Services provided by NACS include:
They also answer general UNIX questions via email - nacs@uci.edu
