To ensure that the computer receives the correct IP address, please be sure to first register its MAC address.
- From to the Start menu,right-click on My Network Places and select Properties
- Right-click on Local Area Connection and go to Properties
- Highlight Internet Protocol TCP/IP, it may be necessary to scroll down. Click on Properties
- Verify that TCP/IP is set to Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically
- Click on Advanced and select the DNS tab
- Make sure to uncheck Register this connection's addresses in DNS
