Setting up lab printers »
The following instructions are for the ICS lab payprint printers only. For ICS Faculty, Staff and Graduates Students interested in using departmental printing outside of the payprint system please see the printers webpage.
- First, double click on the "My Computer" desktop icon. Next, double click on the "Control Panels" folder. Finally, double click on the "Printers" folder. You will end up with a window that looks similar to this:
- Double click on the "Add Printer" icon. This causes a wizard to open with the following screen:
- Select "Network Printer" and click the "Next" button. You will see this window:
- The instructional print server is called "MASTERHIT" and is part of the "UCI-ICS" domain. Find "UCI-ICS" in the list on this screen and if a list of computers and printers is not available underneath it like in the picture above, double click on it.
- Double click on MASTERHIT to get it to display the list of available printers. Printers are addressed by the room the print spool will print to.
- Once you have found the printer you want in the list, double click on it and you will be brought to a new screen.
- Choose whether or not you want to use this printer as your default printer and click next.
- Finally, it will tell you that the computer was installed. Click Finish.
