Dr. Mjolsness' research interests include: systems biology, regulatory networks, models of biological development, machine learning, nonlinear optimization methods, pattern recognition, computer vision and image processing, stochastic parameterized grammars, scientific inference systems. His projects include modeling plant development (www.computableplant.org) and gene/signaling regulatory networks.
