RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Dr. Irani's principal research interests are in the design and analysis of algorithms. In particular, most of her research is in the area of online algorithms in which algorithms must make decisions with incomplete information. Dr. Irani has applied research in online algorithms to projects in Web caching, power management, video transmission and transportation scheduling.
