New topics emerge continuously that require prominent positions in curricula, yet we cannot forget the foundations and knowledge that have stood the test of time.
With the opportunities for software and computer based applications exploding before us, the Department of Informatics was formed to provide a focus for study and research in software and information systems design.
Targeting this particular segment of the burgeoning computer science landscape, our fourteen collegial faculty members are engaged in exciting research projects, launching a new undergraduate curriculum, and mentoring the finest Ph.D students in the nation.
