What students say »

These short videos give you an opportunity to hear, from current Informatics students, what life is like as an Informatics major at UC Irvine's Bren School of ICS.

Julie Richo

An Orange County native, Julie chose Informatics because it allowed her to combine her love for art and technology. Even though she had no prior experience with programming, the Informatics program has helped develop her skills so she can be successful in the field of technology.

Sam Kaufman

Sam conducts research with professor Donald Patterson. Undergraduate research opportunities abound at the Bren School of ICS. By working directly with professors as they do their research, students get a taste of what graduate school might be like.

Aurora Bedford

Aurora made many long lasting friends her first year, living in Middle Earth, one of UC Irvine's on campus dorms. The friendships she made with her dorm mates and fellow Informatics students helped provide a rich social experience both in and out of the classroom.
