We can offer words, pictorials and viewbooks but nothing will substitute for an in-person visit.
The Bren School, in conjunction with UCI, hold a series of events each year that allow you to meet with counselors, students, alumni and faculty to learn more about the scope of the information and computer science field, the breadth of our majors and curriculum, and possible career paths.
If you would like further information or are unable to attend some of the events below, please call the Student Affairs Office at (949) 824-5156 and ask to speak to an undergraduate counselor.

- Destination UCI
The Bren School Dean will be traveling to Northern California to share her perspectives of UCI and the Bren School of ICS with you and your family. more »APRIL
- High School Scholars Day
We believe this annual, invitation only event will help you to decide that UCI is your college of choice, should you receive an offer of admission. You will have an opportunity to meet with faculty and learn more about the Bren School, UCI, programs of study and academic planning. more »
- Experience ICS Day
You'll get to hear about a "typical day in the life of a Bren School major" from current students, and observe computer science lectures.You’ll also have the opportunity to ask about other things that are important to your college decision-making process.

- Experience CSE Day
For students admitted to the Computer Science and Engineering major in the Bren School of ICS or The Henry Samueli School of Engineering.Faculty from both Schools will be on hand to share their perspectives about the benefits of pursuing an interdisciplinary major, provide a general overview of the information and talk about opportunities for undergraduates to gain practical experience.

- Explore UCI
Admissions staff will present an overview of what the UCI experience can offer you as an undergraduate. Later, you’ll be escorted to a workshop presented by a Bren School counselor reviewing the scope of the information and computer science field, the breadth of our majors and curriculum, and possible career paths. more »
- Celebrate UCI
UCI's annual Open House event is a fun-filled day featuring a medieval faire, an Earth Day Celebration, and lots of UCI student clubs hosting booths offering food, games and prizes.This is a great opportunity to get a sense of the energy and excitement that comes from being on a large campus with a diverse student community. Other campus departments, such as Admissions, Housing and Financial Aid, will be open for visits and Q & A.
The Bren School counseling staff will be available to answer your individual questions about choice of major, introductory and general education courses, and transition issues.
No RSVPs are required for the Bren School events. Details will be posted at the Celebrate web site.

- Transfer Scholars Day
Designed specifically for transfer students, this event allows you to meet with faculty and students and hear about campus and extracurricular opportunities that will facilitate your transition, and enrich your academic experience. more »
