Transfer Scholars Day 2012
photo: students relaxingJoin the Bren School of ICS for our annual invitation-only Transfer Scholars Program on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Donald Bren Hall, Room 6011.

Dean Hal Stern, Associate Dean Tony Givargis, as well as alumni and counselors, will share their perspectives about the Bren School's strengths and its uniqueness from other computer science programs or schools. You and your guest will learn more about the curriculum, our faculty and the kinds of academic support we provide to ensure your academic success. You will also meet current students and learn about the many opportunities for research, community and campus involvement, and leadership that await you outside of the classroom.

Specifically, you will have opportunities to:

» Learn from Bren School faculty, alumni and current students about the value of an information and computer sciences education.
» Find out about opportunities for faculty-guided research.
» Ask current students and academic counselors about the Bren School, UC Irvine, programs of study and academic planning.

Participation is free, and we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing for the walking tour of Bren School research labs and the optional UCI campus and housing tour.

Please RSVP for you and one guest by Friday, May 11, 2012 at 12 p.m. and be be sure to view the tentative agenda and directions to campus.

Parking will be complimentary ONLY in Lot 12B.
