The EGBT

EGBT FAQ:
What does "EGBT" stand for?
EGBT stands for Estimated Global Bejesus Total and represents just that: our best guess
at the total bejesus content of all people on the planet.
How is this figure arrived at?
In 1992 Bejesus Quarterly, along with several other multi-national bejesus-based
organizations successfully petitioned the United States Government to allow for a
bejesus tracking satellite to be launched, replacing one that spied on people in some
equally questionable way, like what kind of breakfast cereal everyone eats, for example.
By routinely testing a sample of the population for bejesus totals and by tracking bejesus
leaving Earth into space, the satellite collaborates with Earthbound databases to come to
the estimate which ends up on this page. Once bejesus theory becomes more widely accepted
this satellite will undoubtedly come under attack as an invasion of privacy. That's ok,
it can shoot lasers at people too.
Isn't bejesus always just transferred between people, leaving the global total the same?
Mass scarings and confusions can cause bejesus to be lost into space. For example, testing
of bejesus levels in dead bodies and ice cores from the 1940's indicate a drop in average bejesus levels
during the war. The US Elections of 2000 also caused a sharp drop in the EGBT as Al Gore
went on his infamous, post-concession speech shooting spree which, of course, resulted in his explosion in
front of the Washington Monument.
