This large institution is concerned with courses distributed by television. Many of the courses are videotaped lectures. Students come to a central location to view the tapes, much as if it were a class. A tutor visits each 'class' occasionally, to answer questions; this is group of students at the same location. The pace is fixed by the rate of the television lecture.
