Learning Scientific Content

Many science learning activities concern the content of science. Learners are involved with accepted theories of science, consequences of these theories, and associated experimental details.

Content is often interpreted to mean miscellaneous information or vocabulary. But better learning environments emphasize the theoretical structure, and the use of this structure to make predictions. Many traditional science courses in both schools and universities are content-oriented.
