Social Problems Associated with Science

The next type of learning concerns social consequences of science. Science does not exist in a vacuum; it is woven into the fabric of our culture. We have recognized the importance in the modern world of the effects of science on society (and vice versa). Therefore curriculum material concerned with social effects has been developed. Some courses on the impact of science are restricted to one area, such as the role of computers in our society.
