Summary of Tandy 4000 "edutech1"
This is a high-level summary of general characteristics of
the machine. For details (which are of course subject to change)
the machine itself, and
the manuals concerning it, must be consulted.
NOTE: because of the failure of
the system unit of edutech8, its hard drive unit has been placed on
top of the hard drive of edutech1. It is not connected simultaneously
with edutech1's hard drive: connectors for doing so do not seem to exist
on the machine -- though in future, taking the disc controller card from
edutech8 could be tried and evaluated (there has been no time to attempt
this so far). So for the present, using
edutech8's
drive means turning off the Tandy and moving the ribbon cables to edutech8's
drive.
