Summary of Tandy 4000 "edutech8"
This is a high-level summary of general characteristics of
the machine. For details (which are of course subject to change)
the machine itself, and
the manuals concerning it, must be consulted.
NOTE: the system unit of this machine has failed, as
indicated by its failure to show any video on the display, no matter which
display or cards are swapped into it. (More detailed exploration has not
been practical to date). The hard disc is still functioning, and has been
moved to edutech1 for access in alternation with
edutech1's own disc. The state of edutech8's hard disc controller card
has not been determined; it may be possible to add it to edutech1 to
provide a second hard disc connection.
