Ports has to date been arranged to handle multiple-program dialogues, including assuming operating system intervention between modules. Adjusting modules themselves would not only be time-consuming and error-prone; it would irreversibly commit the module's code to monoprogram format. Some modifications have therefore been made to allow the Attract program to simulate multiple-program conditions where Ports needs them, invisibly to the individual module.
