The standard formatter for p-System discs is DISKFORMAT.CODE. Formatter programs from versions previous to IV.2.1 should be avoided, as their relation with IV.2.1's SYSTEM.CONFIG (see below) is uncertain.
While SYSTEM.CONFIG allows a wide range of differently formatted discs to be read on p-System drives, only a restricted range can be formatted.
