My name is Gretel, and I'm a cat.
I like to loll in the sun,
and I can purr for hours on end,
especially when I'm held.
And I like to eat bugs.
I live in Pasadena, California, with my owners
Erin Shaw
and Jim Arvo,
and my big sister Emily
(she's a cat too).

This is my first big achievement.
I got KCC's Kool Kat Award!
I'm so proud I could just purrrrr!
This is me when I was just an ounce of fluff.
I was six weeks old when I was adopted from the SPCA.
This is me and my big sister Emily.
She was an only cat until I came along.
Emily showed me where the scratching post was, and
where all the good spots to nap were.
I really look up to Emily. I follow her everywhere.
Here I'm taking a snooz with my big sister.
It takes a lot of energy to dash from room to room for no particular reason,
so I snooz a lot.
Back when we lived in New York, I would jump boldly into
snowbanks that were way over my head, then calmly walk back into the
house as though nothing had happened.
Emily would never go near the snow for fear of getting her paws wet!
I like to pounce on anything that moves.
You might guess what is about to happen here.
In general, I don't care much for dogs, but my cousin Windsor is okay.
