Laboratory for Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction (LUCI)

In an era of ubiquitous computing, we will each have tens or hundreds of computers -- not just on our desktop, but computers that we carry with us, computers that we wear, and computers that are embedded in our world. These computers gracefully leave the offices and research labs and move into the larger, uncontrolled, everyday world of people. LUCI, the Laboratory for Ubiquitous Computing and Interaction, serves as a focal point for research that follows from this vision.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)

ACM is widely recognized as the premier membership organization for computing professionals, delivering resources that advance computing as a science and a profession; enable professional development; and promote policies and research that benefit society.

Society for the Social Studies of Science (4S)

Society for Social Studies of Science is the oldest and largest scholarly association devoted to understanding science and technology. The main purpose of 4S is to bring together those interested in understanding science, technology, and medicine, including the way they develop and interact with their social contexts.

Design Research Society

The Design Research Society is the multi-disciplinary learned society for the design research community worldwide. Members are drawn from diverse backgrounds, not only from the traditional areas of design, ranging from expressive arts to engineering, but also from subjects like psychology and computer science.

Community Cyberinfrastructure for Advanced Marine Microbial Ecology Research and Analysis

CAMERA stands for Community Cyberinfrastructure for Advanced Marine Microbial Ecology Research and Analysis. The aim of this project is to serve the needs of the microbial ecology research community by creating a rich, distinctive data repository and a bioinformatics tools resource that will address many of the unique challenges of metagenomic analysis.
