• (11/19/09) We did a poll in class today about project 4. Most students spent around 15-25 hours to finish the project. One group spent 40 hours. Most time was spent on learning Java Swing to implement a nice GUI. Three teams implemented the UDF feature for the extra credits, and on the average they spent about 5 hours to learn it.
• (11/19/09) Project 5 is online. Please follow this DOM parser example to start working on the first requirement related to XML-relational translation. On the coming Tuesday (Nov. 23), we will talk about XML parsing and the second requirement related to Ajax.
