CONTENTS
Census of the Jews in Hungary (mainly what is today Hungary and the
   province of Slovakia in Czechoslovakia, the Subcarpathian part
   of Ukraine, USSR, and Burgenland, Austria).  Not very useful in
   reconstructing families because of Jewish naming customs before
   they were required to take surnames.  Usually contains the name
   of the head of the house, sometimes the wife's and children's
   names (sometimes just the number of family members), the number of
   servants and their religion, the name of the landlord when they
   lived on his land, possessions and the taxes assessed.
   Includes various reports and petitions for tax deductions.
   Arranged by alphabeticall order of the counties, however many
   times the latinized spelling of the name of a county is quite
   different from its original and commonly known Hungarian spelling.
