I met Arnold Gershon (now Avrohom Gershon) and Stephanie Nathanson (now Stephanie Erlich) in the late 1960's. The three of us have long since gone our separate ways, but our lives have followed similar paths.
Each of us has been happily married for many years ( the odds are 10:1 against that three 18-year-olds will each marry and remain happily married for over a quarter century ) and each has lived for several years in two distinct sections of the U.S. subsequent to leaving the Northeast where we grew up. Each of us has made scholarly technical presentations. ( I wonder what the cumulative odds are for all that. )
We have tasted of life's joys and sorrows. Our life experiences have helped us develop from naive collegians to engaged and compassionate adults.
Interestingly, at various times, a different two of us have lived in southern California, but I don't think that the three of us did so simultaneously.
Avrohom Gershon
is a software engineer, now working for a private firm
in the Chicago area.
Stephanie Erlich is a neuropathologist,
now with the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
