This section explains how to use Dan Hirschberg's Krakow Records found at http://www.ics.uci.edu/~dan/genealogy/Krakow/.
To use our system in the search engine, the user must select "DM Soundex" as the search method. Then the user enters in the name they would like to search in all upper case letters. The user then may select multiple databases that they would like to search through. Finally click "Search" to see the results.
There also exists the option to perform a case sensitive or insensitive search. If the user chooses "smalls & CAPS are different" only words in the database that are all uppercase will be compared with the search query. If the user chooses "case insensitive" all words in the database will be compared with the search, both upper and lower case.
The search query entered in by the user should only consist of upper case letters and should be a length greater than 2 characters. If there are any non letter characters the system will return no matches.
