I was born in a small village called Xinwo, meaning "new house". Located in the southern part of Zhejiang province, it is a very lovely place with clear water, layers of mountains, fresh air and a variety of flowers and fruits. Especially during the Spring, there are white pear flowers all over the montains. An occasional wind will make them fly in the air, dance in the wind, land on the ground and cover it with petals. I left this village after I was born, and never came back in such a season until this year(2004).

 
  I moved to Shanghai to finish my university education and worked there for several years. It is a very progressive city. It has the most brilliant night. Several times, when I flew back to Shanghai, a bird - eye view of this city reveals this brightness extended to the infinite horizon and merged into the sky with blinking stars. I was always amazed and wondering where is the true paradise.  
Now I am studying in Irvine, a small, well planned, and quiet city in the States. Located in South California, it's a place full of sunshine. I just take the sunny days for granted, and any occasional cloudy day will make me wonder 'What's wrong?'. I love this city for its near perfect weather and its proximity to the beach. The people are laid-back and their smiles are very charming
