Course Assessment

A student's final grade will be based on the combination of two exams (midterm and final) and a set of six homeworks. The grades from these items will be weighted as follows to compute the final grade:

Homeworks	50 %
Midterm	20 %
Final	30 %

All assignments are due at the beginning of discussion on the assignment due date. If you are unable to attend discussion on an assignment due date, be sure to turn it in to the TA before the due date. No late assignments will be accepted, unless you have a valid excuse from a physician, an extreme family emergency. If you become sick or have some other emergency, you are responsible for letting the instructor know as soon as it is feasible, preferably by email but through a friend, if email is inaccessible.

If you feel you have been graded incorrectly on an assignment or an exam, then bring it to the attention of the instructor and the TAs. Please be aware, however, that we reserve the right to regrade the entire assignment/exam.
