Debra Richardson is Dean and Professor of the Donald
Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University
of California, Irvine.
Richardson is a founding member of the Institue
for Software Research (ISR), whose mission is to advance software
and information technology through research partnerships. ISR is an organized
research unit established from the successful Irvine
Research Unit in Software (IRUS), for which she served as the acting
directer from 1995-1996.
Richardson is currently serving on UCI's Committee
on Committees and recently served on the WASC Accreditation Planning
Committee and as chair of the Council on Educational Policy and a member
of the Academic Senate Cabinet. For the University of California (systemm-wide),
she serves as Director of MICRO
(Microelectronics Innovation and Computer Research Opportunities), one
of UCs Industry-University Cooperative
