BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:
David van Dyk is currently a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Statistics at the University of Chicago and his B.S. in Statistics and Probability from Michigan State University. Professor van Dyk was elected Fellow in the American Statistical Association in 2006. His research focuses on Statistical Computation, Statistical Methods in Astronomy, Causal Inference, and Statistical Analysis with Missing Data.
