Design Documents

Each team should pull together a draft of their Design Document, put it on the web, and email the URL to frost@uci.edu by midnight at the end of Thursday, October 15..

If sections of the draft are missing, note their absence. Every member of the team should review all of the draft for mechanical errors (spelling, grammer, omitted words) and for readability.

The chart below will be updated Friday to include URLs.

On Friday, find your name in the Reviewer's Name column. Read the other team's draft design document, write up a few paragraphs of constructive criticism, and email your remarks to every member of the team you reviewed, and to frost@uci.edu and to irishabh@ics.uci.edu. The comments should be mailed by noon on Monday, October 19.

Note the date of your team's pitch, and prepare an eight to ten minute exposition of your team's game proposal to deliver on that date. Try to "sell" your audience on your game.

Based on your document's reviews, comments during the pitch, and your own continued thinking, update your Design Document, so that you have a final version by midnight at the end of Wednesday, October 28. Send the URL to frost@uci.edu (ideally not the same URL as the draft). Although this version of the Design Document is designated "final," you can optionally continue to refine it as you implement your game.
