ICS 23 / CSE 23 / ICS H23 - Tournament Results
Winter 2006

A few words of explanation

In order to understand the results as presented, here is an explanation of how the tournaments were structured:

In the ICS 23 / CSE 23 tournament, 62 AI's compiled and competed in the tournament, with 18 disqualifications. Most of these disqualifications were the result of making invalid moves. A few AI's threw other exceptions (such as NullPointerExceptions), and a few others were disqualified for taking too long to make a move. The 44 qualifying AI's played a total of 86 games, two against each of the other qualifying AI's.

In the ICS H23 tournament, 11 AI's compiled and competed, with 3 disqualifications, two of which were the result of taking too long to make a move, and one of which was caused by the AI making an illegal move. The 8 remaining AI's played a total of 14 games, two against each of the other qualifying AI's.

The winners of these tournaments had the most dominant win/loss records I've ever seen in the tournament: the ICS 23 / CSE 23 winner lost only one (and tied one) out of 86 games, while the ICS H23 winner won all of its games.

The results

In each table of results, IDSuffix is the last four digits of your UCI ID# (or Access ID#). Score represents the total number of beans your AI captured in all of the games it played. Record as Top and Record as Bottom indicate the number of wins, losses, and ties in games played as the top and bottom player, respectively. DQ means "disqualified."
