Frodo died at 6:10 AM, 9 October 2001, from complications arising from lymphoma of the kidney.
We were alone, in my bedroom; it had been pretty clear that he wouldn't last much longer, and--fortunately for me--he wouldn't let me go to sleep. [sad smile]
He was my most constant companion for these 15 years--longer than any other friend I've ever had--and I miss him terribly.
