Hello, my name is Julie Rico and I am an undergraduate in the department of informatics, part of the first class of informaticians to be exact. Who would believe how fast the time flies when you are having the time of your life writing code and requirements documents and pulling the all-nighters that college life is all about! The fact is, I am in my fourth year, and I already know I want to keep studying this subject as long as it'll have me, and I enjoy nearly every minute of it.

I am currently in my fourth and final year of Informatic at UCI as an undergraduate. These past years have been the best times of my life, and I know the coming ones will be as well. My future plans include moving to the UK (Scotland, to be specific) to pursue a Master degree in Informatics or Human Computer Interaction. I would like to spend time working in the UK before heading off to join the Peace Corps. With this organization, I would have the opportunity to tackle social issues of technology first hand and make a real difference.

After I have my fair share of exploring the world, I hope to return to the States for my PhD, and finally settle down as a professor somewhere nice. I enjoy warm weather and the west coast, so that may settle that....

Man, life is awesome.
