Jehan WickramasuriyaPh.D Candidate
BackgroundI am currently persuing a Ph.D at the University of California, Irvine in the Donald Bren School of Information & Computer Sciences. My advisor is Nalini Venkatasubramanian. I was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, shortly after which I spent the next seven years in the United Kingdom before moving to New Zealand. I graduated from Wanganui Collegiate School in Wanganui, New Zealand before receiving my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. My principle research interests are in distributed systems middleware, ubiquitous computing and multimedia systems. In particular, my focus is on access control and privacy for open distributed, mobile environments. I am affiliated with the Distributed Systems Middleware (DSM) group, the Laboratory for Ubiquitous Computing & Interaction (LUCI) and the RESCUE (Responding to Crisis & Unexpected Events) project. |
