• "The Cognitive Style of PowerPoint," by Edward R. Tufte. This isn't available on-line, but you can get it from Amazon.com for a few dollars. Tufte is a great expert on the accurate and effective display of information. He thinks that using PowerPoint dumbs down almost everything.
