• Follow checklist

• Set up equipment, prepare materials

• Caring for the test participants (making them feel comfortable, disclosures, have them sign forms, showing them the test environment, getting them to talk, how to handle troubles)

• Conducting the test

• Debriefing

• Preparing and analyzing the data (outliers, trends, usage of inferential statistics, rating the severity of problems)

• Recommending changes (to whom? in what way?)

• Communicating the results (how to communicate, and to whom)

• Compiling the results in written report
