They enable persons for whom technology is inaccessible due to non-literacy or financial constraints, to benefit from technologies through digitally-skilled users—thus, expanding the reach of technologies.

report We attempted to examine  poverty in the rural regions of Papua, given its vulnerability to infectious diseases, a history of famine, and a lack of economic stability. Due to the tribal nature of the population, poverty was defined in terms of very basic needs- nutrition and health care.

Intermediation This paper attempts to uncover how a grey market good, the Video Compact Disc made an entry into the slum communities of Bangalore, India. By constructing the VCD as a market device, I seek to uncover the heterogeneous networks and commodity or information flows in a grey economy.

Wigglestick: A Social Navigation System for Next-generation Smart Phones (2007)
Wigglestick Wigglestick is a prototype software application for use on next generation smart phones. Taking advantage of these phones' awareness of their location, Wigglestick enables users to drop media at specific spots, have their location visible to approved friends, and find their way to desired places.

Strategyshopper Redesigned the existing shopping process in in medium to large grocery stores a more efficient and less frustrating process.
Qualitative study of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS) patients (2007) BCIs I studied the locked-in ALS patient community in the United States to understand their lifestyles better, as part of my master's project. I employed the value-sensitive framework in understanding their lifestyles and in creating guidelines for a neurally-controlled browser.
