Welcome to my personal page. My name is Oleksii Kuchaiev (another spelling is "Alexey Kuchaev"). Currently I am a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine.
My research interests include: applications of graph theory, probabilistic and machine learning methods to study large real-world networks such as protein-protein interaction (PPI) networks, social and technological networks.
My advisor is Prof. Natasa Przulj .

In 2006 and 2007 I was a member of the team which placed 1st in the Microsoft Imagine Cup (Software Design category) Ukrainian final. In 2007 our team, Fenestra, presented our project at the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2007 Worldwide Finals in Seoul, Korea. As a result we got to the top 12 teams in the world. I like almost all types of outdoor activities, especially: surfing, sailing, diving, hiking and travelling.
