El Capitan Alatriste
|
This is the story of Spain's quintaessential XVII century swordman Diego (Capitan) Alatriste, as told by his assistant, the orphan Inigo
Montoya. The intriguing tale is beautifully complemented with a thorough documentation work, carried together with his young daughter Carlota. In the line of a modern D'artagnan, this is the most successful book by Spain's current best-selling author and polemic columnist, and the first of a series of sequels that counts 5 hits in the shelves. If you speak Spanish, no te lo pierdas, and if not, try the English version.

Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy
|
An all times geek classic, this is a truly remarkable book, among other things because it has written on the cover, in big bold fonts, the comforting advice "Don't panic". Well, what can I say? If you visit this page from Barrapunto or Slashdot, as it is most of the times, there's nothing else I can tell you about it. Enjoy either the English or the Spanish version, and don't leave Earth without it.
