Please Note:

As a pedagogical boost to my ICS-171 students, I make all my old
ICS-171 quizzes and finals freely available as study aids.  Students
are encouraged to study these, and as an inducement are promised that
at least one problem on every quiz will be drawn either from the book
or from a previous quiz or final.

THESE OLD QUIZZES AND FINALS COME WITH A CAVEAT!

Students in my ICS-171 class are awarded ONE (1) BONUS POINT for every
technical error in any class material that they catch before I or some
other student notices.  This maintains interest, and encourages quick
minds and sharp eyes.

Several of the old quizzes and finals contain technical errors for
which previous classes already have gotten ONE (1) BONUS POINT!

SPECIFICALLY:  The old quiz keys contain TECHNICAL ERRORS which have
not been corrected.  DO NOT ASSUME THAT QUIZ KEYS ARE ALWAYS CORRECT!

This is announced at the beginning of each class, and is done
deliberately --- students should use these to help make sure that they
UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL, and *NOT* just memorize answers blindly!
