A CASCON 2001 Workshop

Tuesday, November 6, 2001

Due to the intricacies of C++, it is difficult to create a front-end that is both highly accurate (i.e. produces only correct information) and robust (i.e. tolerant of variability of input). Since developers commonly trade-off accuracy and robustness, it is useful to have a benchmark that shows where a parser-analyser lies in the design space. In this workshop, we propose such a benchmark and examine its validity with four front-ends for reverse engineering tools, cppx, Rigi C++, tkSee/SN, and Ccia.
