Information for WCRE Panel Presentations Summary

The panel has been scheduled for Friday, November 24 (Day 2 of WCRE) as part of a working dinner 5:30-8:30pm. The panelists will give a short presentation and there will be a discussion involving all the presenters and WCRE participants.  For the panel, we would like each of you to do the following.

  1. Prepare a presentation according to the format below (and present it!).
  2. Give us your top three questions/issues/concerns as possible topics for the discussion.
  3. Send your abstract and URLs for the home pages for each author on your paper.
WCRE is just over 3 weeks away and there's not much work left.  We're looking forward to seeing you in Australia!

Presentations

Each of the tool teams will have a 20 minute presentation slot: 15 minutes for presentation (strictly enforced in WCRE style!) and 5 minutes for clarifying questions. The presentations should follow the format given below, which is based on the suggested organization for the position papers..

    • description of team (i.e. the people who completed the assigned tasks)
  2. Results
    • Overview of your solutions to tasks or description of solutions
    • What kind of documentation did you create for task 1.1?
    • Which maintenance tasks did you do?
    • How long did each of them take?
    • Provide a detailed account of one of the deliverables
  3. Experiences
    • How long did it take you to read the source code into your tool?
    • Did you have to modify your tool to complete the formal demonstration?
    • If yes, briefly describe the changes and amount of time/effort to do them.
    • What difficulties did you encounter with your tool? Did it crash? Any other surprises?
    • Did you use any other resources (tools or documentation) to complete the tasks?
    • How long did you spend on the required tasks?
  4. Lessons Learned
    • What did you learn about your tool?
    • Are there any changes that you would make to your tool based on this experience?
    • Would you participate in another structured demonstration?
