Recommendations
- I very highly recommend you purchase a new version of
the textbook. The new binder-ready version is very reasonably
priced. If you buy a used version, then the activities will
already have answers written in the textbook, and they will be
somebody else's answers -- not your own answers. You will get
much more out of the course and the textbook if you have the
opportunity to think about the activities from your own
perspective, without answers already written in the textbook for
you. Additionally, a new textbook will allow you to create your
own textbook tailored to your personal thought process.
- There is a 3rd edition of the textbook available; however, the
4th edition has a lot of additions (new activities, new data
sets, new homework exercises) that are not in the 3rd edition.
If you decide to use the 3rd edition, you will need to make
friends with someone that has the 4th edition so that you can be
sure you have the correct activities and homeworks.
